Emporos undertakes defined research, assessment, preparation and field assignments for consulting and advisory firms.
Our contribution complements a firm’s existing expertise and delivery capacity: a discrete enquiry, an independent assessment of conditions in the field, advance preparation or support during an agreed phase of an engagement. We work within the firm’s methods and standards and respect its relationship with its client.
To your terms of reference
We work to established terms of reference or help define the overseas component of an assignment. Work includes:
Documentary research and lawful local enquiries into defined questions.
Direct observation, local enquiry and verification against agreed questions and criteria.
Advance preparation, local liaison and briefing of local providers.
Client-side coordination, follow-up and reporting during a specified period.
Research-only and field-only commissions are welcome.

Travel-risk & security risk management advisory firms
Local evidence and observations on proposed arrangements and providers to inform the firm’s assessment, together with additional advance and field capacity, delivered to its criteria and reporting arrangements.
Private-client advisers, concierge firms and family offices
An independent assessment of a location, local services or practical arrangements, while the adviser or firm retains its client relationship and professional remit.
Research consultancies and development-sector advisers
Research, local enquiry or evidence against the research questions, methods and reporting agreed with the firm, delivered as a sourced briefing, analytical contribution or field findings for incorporation into its work.
Project, social & environmental advisers
Direct observations, local enquiries and site-visit preparation gathered and reported against the lead adviser’s criteria, with support for the visiting team on the ground.
Deliverables
Research reports, field findings, evidence records, advance briefs, updates and handover notes, in a format and depth agreed so the work can be examined and incorporated into the firm’s own assessment or deliverables.
Working arrangements
Scope, criteria, deliverables, reporting line, external representation, confidentiality and delegated authority are agreed before work begins.
