Who We Support
Enhanced research and field capability across sectors
Emporos supports clients whose decisions or activity depend on understanding local conditions and making practical arrangements at a distance. Each assignment applies our core capabilities to the client’s brief, working methods and agreed criteria, drawing on its own standards where available.
Consulting and advisory firms
Additional research and field capacity within a firm’s engagement, delivered to its terms of reference and reporting arrangements.
Typical tasks: sourced briefings for a wider study; field observations against a lead adviser’s criteria; local evidence for a travel-risk or security assessment; location enquiries for a private-client adviser or concierge firm.
Travel, mobility and hospitality
Destination and provider assessment, advance preparation and coordination for tour, charter, cruise and superyacht operators; event and delegation organisers; relocation and destination-service providers; and hospitality businesses.
Typical tasks: destination research; hotel, transport and venue assessment; practical destination plans within the client’s criteria and mandate, for its approval; provider briefing; on-the-ground coordination for an initial programme.
Organisations, investors and project teams
An independent assessment of the operating environment to inform the client’s planning, and practical support when a team arrives.
Typical tasks: context briefings on a proposed location; site and access assessment; preparation for a site visit or project phase; liaison and coordination for a visiting team; context and field support for geological, construction or survey teams in remote or conflict-affected areas.
Our findings inform the client’s own commercial and technical assessment. We do not provide investment evaluation, valuation or formal due diligence.
Foundations, NGOs and development programmes
Contextual enquiry, field evidence and practical capacity for a defined part of a programme, within the organisation’s methods.
Typical tasks: contextual research; community and stakeholder context; field verification; visit and programme start-up preparation; liaison and reporting capacity.
Research involving communities follows the commissioning organisation’s agreed methods and consent and safeguarding arrangements, with language and interpretation requirements established before work begins.
Private clients and family offices
An independent, first-hand assessment of a location and the arrangements available there, alongside the client’s legal, property and other advisers.
Typical tasks: neighbourhood and location research, including crime, governance and wider context; assessment of property surroundings and local services; preparation for a relocation or extended stay; support during a visit.
Each commission is scoped around the client’s objective and the additional research or practical capacity required.
